  • For the gastronomic festival Gladmat 2012 we are pleased to announce Hellstrøm Bistrogavanza in Renaa Matbar & Atrium! The dates are Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of July. Enjoy good company, live music - and food by Eyvind Hellstrøm himself. We recommend that you book sooner rather than later.

The cheerful Tine Jenssen is now shop manager for Renaa: Xpress, and our highly competent Clement Bertrand is promoted from wine manager to restaurant manager of Renaa Restauranter. The friendly telephone voice belongs to our new booking assistant Marie Marie B. Sævareid.  

  • Here is Sven Erik Renaa's special menu for the Stavanger Wine Festival, in the Restaurant (downstairs) on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st of April. We regret that it is in Norwegian only.
  • Stavanger Vinfest: the 14th annual wine festival! During 18th – 21st April, the town's best restaurants will feature special wine menus and showcase some of Europe’s best wine and wine producers.   • Galleri Pan (Oslo) invites to an art exhibition with international artists in Renaa: Restauranten from April 12th until May 20th. Come and enjoy the art during the Restaurant's opening hours (from 6PM) or by appointment. Here you'll find more information about the artists.

Renaa: Xpress is all about love for food and the best ingredients. Thus Sven Erik Renaa has personally visited a number of olive groves, and chosen this oil for his own use. Now you'll be able to enjoy the oil in your own kitchen. You'll find it at R/X at kr 139 per bottle (500 ml).

  • January: Our new Renaa: Xpress is opened! Welcome to a quick breakfast, lunch or take-away in Breitorget.
  • November: After the holidays we'll open a new lunch concept. Something to look forward to for all of us who enjoy Stavanger city centre during the daytime!
  • 24. October: Monday 24th of October at 19 o'clock we'll arrange a Winemaker's Dinner in Renaa: Matbaren. Welcome to an encounter with the great Albert Bichot.
  • October: The game has arrived, including excellent deer from Svanøy outside Florø.
  • October: The Nordic Prize has published the list of finalists for 2011, and we are proud to be in the finale (this year, again) as the only restaurant in Stavanger - as the only Norwegian restaurant outside of Oslo, actually.
  • Ultimo September: We are pleased to welcome Kapittel, Stavanger international festival for literature and freedom of speech, to our tables - and to use the Atrium and the scene for their arrangements.
  • September: Unbelievable but true: It is the time of year when you should plan and book your Christmas party, Yulebord, family holiday gathering, friends' night out away from the pre-holiday bustle...! Read about our rooms and venues here on our web, or contact us for a suggestion or booking.
  • September: Our highly compentent trainee Julie Ekse Jenssen, who is soon to qualify as cook, is chosen as Ørjan Johanessen's commis for Bocuse d'Or. We're proud!
  • August: We welcome our brand new trainees. There are many who apply to train as cooks or waiters with Renaa, and we're pleased to register how competent and enthusiastic our chosen trainees are.
  • July: The Restaurant (downstairs) closes for the summer, but the Matbaren (upstairs) remains open every single summer day. Welcome!
  • Ultimo June: The guide over the best Nordic restaurants, 66 - Nordic Countries is published.We are declared to be the best restaurant in Norway outside Oslo.
  • June: One of our cooks in Renaa: Restauranten (downstairs), Nikolas Schilling Carlsen, is accepted for the Norwegian cook championship. We're proud!
  • June: Midsummer approaches, and it's time for fresh new potatoes from Sigurd. Delicious.
  • Primo June: The season offers lovely summer lamb, crisp new carrots and white turnips, young potatoes from Noimoutier... and we've just received fresh tender almonds!
  • Ultimo May: Did you know that we'll be happy to offer catering for your summer party? Get in touch!
  • May: The perfect month for cooks and gourmets. We are receiving delicious fresh wild garlic, morels, aspargus from Germany, Norway lobster (langoustine)… and 12-armed squid from our local fjords. Stop by and see our specials on the blackboard.
